The responsibilities of dental hygienists typically include taking X-rays. It takes a lot of training before one can perform this task because accurate images need to be captured while the hygienist and the patient are protected from the rays. These X-rays allow the dentist to see what is going on inside the teeth and jaws, allowing them to detect and treat any issues effectively and efficiently.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dental Hygienists Carry Out Treatments<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Dental hygienists play a crucial role in providing preventive care and educating patients. When you see your hygienist, they will begin by determining which type of cleaning is necessary to remove tartar, stains, and plaque. Dental Hygienists Are Highly Educated<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Dental hygienists are required to graduate from an accredited dental hygiene program and to pass difficult written and clinical exams to obtain their license to practice. They must also keep up with continuing education requirements so they can stay up to date with the latest dental treatments, techniques, and best practices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
